AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): BJP Govt’s cruel games with Job aspirants continue as many senior job aspirants of stenographers, who had been struggling for steno-jobs and were taking training from coaching centres, now more eligible for stenographer posts. The govt in the notification has sought 45 % marks in Class-12 for stenographers, but many of the job aspirants today agitated saying earlier carrying marks from rural and poor families with previous syllabus was very tough, whereas in today’s time 45 % marks are nothing. They said marks never were asked in stenographer interviews and also in SSC, UPSC marks doesn’t come under eligibility.“The notification has relaxed 10 % marks for them who are trained in ITI. Such rule never any board maintained earlier”, the job aspirants said.In this situation stenographers job aspirants have urged the state govt with withdraw the mark criteria from the eligibility.Stenographer is a person whose job is to transcribe speech in shorthand. Shorthand is an abbreviated symbolic writing method that increases speed and brevity of writing as compared to longhand.

It's a more common method of writing a language and for steno-jobs Madhyamik pass is enough but the present govt has asked 45 % marks in Class-12 as eligibility of shorthand.

BJP Govt has abolished the old recruitment policy of the previous govt. From Group-A to Group-D all appointments all will be proceeded through the written tests only, whereas in case of Group-A, Group-B the viva will be videographed. Group-C & Group-D will be totally on written basis. However for police and stenographer posts there are extra tests which can be avoided but the Govt never said that marks will be necessary for such posts.

Later giving one time relaxations to the overage candidates who appeared in the ongoing recruitment process since the previous govt (CPI-M Govt), Tripura cabinet has decided to introduce new recruitment process with the recently announced New Recruitment Policy, cancelling all the ongoing recruitment.

But now 45 % marks in Class-12 has been asked, but for ITI (Only 35 %, Madhyamik) which have jolted many job aspirants of stenographer as they are no more eligible for the post.

They said in PMO Offices only Madhyamik pass is the eligibility.
