AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): Tripura OBC population has demanded OBC reservations should be implemented in state's various recruitment processes including TPSC.

Public belong to OBC said, "We want OBC reservation in Tripura as early as possible. The reservation should be across job, TPSC exam, College admissions. Everywhere reservation is must in Tripura. We want to draw the attention to OBC welfare board of Tripura. Indeed Rajya Sabha has also nodded for OBC reservation".

However, before the Election BJP in Tripura also promised on the OBC-reservation. After the Election demands already have been placed to Minister Ratan Lal Nath in this regard.

Parliament on 6 August, 2018 had passed a bill to provide constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes, as several members in the Rajya Sabha urged the government to make public the findings of the caste census and implement reservation accordingly.
