State Govt forcibly removed terminated workers' protest, 1 hospitalized

AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): Taking the opportunity of ‘darkness’ in the early morning, Biplab Deb’s govt has forced terminated Forest Dept employees in hunger strike to withdraw protest through huge numbers of police and TSR had been deployed at there and out of police-terror one person had to be hospitalized in GB hospital.

The drive was held when the area was less crowded in the early morning at around 5 am.

The action by Biplab Deb’s govt had taken place after Supreme Court on Thursday had hit the BJP Govt for not allowing democratic movements in states.

Total 363 employees earlier had protested to be regularized from Forest Dept but among them 350 were regularized but 13 contractual of Forest Dept have been terminated recently under the BJP Govt and among those 13 employees there are many senior employees who were victimized due to ‘other’ reason. In total 35 numbers of employees are left jobless without any reason.
