AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): Politburo Brinda Karat, Tripura CPI-M MP Jharna Das Baidya, Women leader Rama Das have slammed the BJP led State Govt for attacking CPI-M on Monday during fund raising of Kerala flood.

Jharna Das Baidya said, CPI-M already has accepted the poll-defeat-result but the BJP even after winning can't prevent themselves from attacking the oppositions.

"We are asked where are we going ? With whom, we are meeting ? We are attacked in broad day light. CPI-M was in power for 25 years, can they say the Govt prevented the oppositions to move freely ?"

Brinda Karat further said, such activities of BJP are totally violations of democratic rights and unacceptable, whereas Rama Das has asked the BJP Govt to form rule of law.

"Constitution has given us right to hold protests, rallies, demonstrations. If Govt does well, we will give support but if it does not do good works we will protest and this is the system, but BJP-govt is unready to obey the constitution and the Govt itself has taught ruling party activists to attack the oppositions without hesitations", Brinda Karat added.
