AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): Protests hit Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan school premise after a Class-12 student left severely injured in suicide attempt.
One 18 years boy Dibakar Saha, student of Class-12 was in love affair with a class 10 student, which was unliked by teachers. On the day ofter Rakhi Bandhan, against their wishes, in front of all school students the girl was bound to tie Rakhi on Dibakar's hand.
The matter didn't stop here, but by calling parents the school teachers had insulted them in front of all.
After parents were insulted, soon Dibakar Saha's injured body was found in the school, whereas teachers said Dibakar jumped from the building to commit suicide. He was admitted GB hospital and left critical.
On yesterday, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath had visited the hospital, met the injured student. Students have agitated in front of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Tuesday.
They said, who will tie Rakhi to whom it's their wish. Few of the students told media, Dibakar was indeed rusticated from the school led him to attempt suicide.
Chairman Prof Kashinath Das has not given any statement yet in this regard.
Recently at Indranagar in similar manner few youths were stretched before media by locals in allegation of being involved in 'Sex Racket'.
