AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): Politburo Brinda Karat has hit Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Amit Shah for their empty promises on 7th Pay Commission before the Assembly Election, which they said will be given in the 'first cabinet meeting'.
Brinda Karat was addressing in a demonstration, organized by "All India Democratic Women's Association" at Paradise Chowmuhani on Tuesday with various demands.
"Why are we talking about 7th pay commission ??? Why it's our headache to demand for the employees ? Because people had trusted both of your (Modi, Amit Shah) words as true. Innocent people of Tripura believed what BJP President says it can not be a wrong but after 6 months of BJP ruling in Tripura 7th Pay Commission is far away from the implementation, proving Prime Minister's words as lies", Karat said.
"You promises were Jumla ! Employees are losing their hopes, many losing their jobs. Modi is only meant to do Batei bari, bari but Kaam Sunyo (tall promises, work zero)", she added.
