AGARTALA, Aug 27 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Monday while addressing at Neermahal festival claimed that ducks increase Oxygen (O2) in water.

"Ducks not only increase Oxygen but it also it helps to grow the fish fast. It helps in recycling and thus fishes automatically get the feed", CM said.

The Chief Minister further announced 50,000 ducks will be dedicated for Rudrasagar (Neermahal lake) area people which will help the people and also the lake's fishes, but for such things one has to think at least !

CM further encouraged people to rear at least 5-6 either chicken or duck babies at home, slamming the previous CPI-M Govt for removing that domestic culture. 

CM also explained how he and his elder sister proudly rearing ducks and chickens in childhood and his family got the 'protein'.
