AGARTALA, September 17 (TIWN): The aftermath of the yesterday’s SFI-NSUI tussle has made the National Students Union of India’s (NSUI) state President Bapi Das lodge FIR against leftist student wing Student Federation of India’s (SFI) eight activists.
While talking to TIWN, Bapi Das has informed the name eight students and they are Bipul Das, Nayan Deb, Sourav Mallik, Prasants Mondol, Anirban Dutta, Roman Mia Saibal Sarkar and Gita Bose. The FIR has been lodged with East Agartala Police Station (PS). “The Police have assured to take strict action against the SFI activists, if found guilty”, further added the NSUI leader.
Meanwhile, the SFI has filed FIR against eighteen of the NSUI activists. “We have lodged 3 FIRs yesterday in the East Agartala PS”, informed SFI state President Nabarun Deb, while talking to TIWN correspondent. The incident of yesterday, amidst the inaction and due to lack of preventive measures took 26 college students within the purview of law breakers, for not so sound reasons.
