AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): New Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki has taken oath at the Raj Bhawan on Saturday.
High Court Chief Justice Ajay Rastogi has administered the oath to the new Governor.
After arriving here in the morning Solanki was received by state govt officials at Agartala Airport. On that time Solanki said that he wants to work in Tripura with a vision of Govt of India's "New India".
Kaptan Singh Solanki is now the Governor of Tripura who has been an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He studied at Vikram University Ujjain, P.G.B.T. College, Ujjain and Maharani Luxmibai College, Jiwaji University Gwalior. He served as teacher during 1958–1965 period and as Professor at P.G.V. College Gwalior from 1966–2000.
He was earlier appointed the Governor of Haryana to replace.
Kaptan Singh Solanki has been married to Shrimati Rani Solanki since 1959, and has two daughters and three sons with her.
