AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): To hold peaceful observation of Eid, this year the securities have been tightened across border areas to avoid any unwanted incident.

This year, there were some talks going on about verbal-clashes among Viswa Hindu Parishad and Muslim community centering cow slaughtering. 

Leaving no space for any rumour and disturbances police, BSF, CRPF and other troops are in action. Till now no untoward incident was heard.

Troops are guarding the border areas and other sensitive areas 24X7. 

Eid al-Adha, also called the "Festival of Sacrifice", is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two, has been celebrated by the Muslim community here in Tripura.
