AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): After Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on July 28 had suggested youngsters to get involve in gym rather than going towards addictions and drugs and tablet consumptions said, “I want people should go back to our previous culture. Instead of taking drugs, we should listen Rabindra Sangeet and other cultural items should be practiced.
CM said this on Tuesday while addressing in a blood donation camp organized by Ekata Club at Agartala.
“Go for Rabindra Sangeet, modern songs, do Hojagiri dance (Tripura Folk Dance) or go for boating competition rather than consuming tablets”, CM added.
“I am determined to free Tripura from drugs and addiction but only by seizing phensedyl and ganjas nobody can stop it unless we ourselves bring changes within us”, he said.
Earlier on July 28 CM told youths, ‘If you go to gym, you will become Dipa Karmakar but if you go to drugs you will be in jail’.
