AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): When Chief Minister Biplab Deb had promised three times to 1451 police job aspirants that Govt will recruit them soon, but those promises are emerging as ‘empty promises’ as Govt has taken no initiative to recruit them, rather Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath on August 3 announced that all existing recruitment process under the previous Govt, have been cancelled by the new Govt.

The 1451 job aspirants said before media on Monday that they believe the Chief Minister will fulfill his promise and if it’s  done they will be always indebted to him.

“We always wanted to wear Police’s uniform. We want to dedicate ourselves for the Nation and thus we always applied for police jobs”, said the victims.

It has been said that on April 9, 2017 the interview had begun from Kanchanpur whereas on July 14 the recruitment was completed at the West District. Out of 25000 candidates, the 1451 candidates passed the tests and were said that within 6 months they will be provided with offer letters, but the previous Govt had delayed the issue and soon election date was declared.

After the election was ended, the job aspirants met new Chief Minister Biplab Deb three times and in each time he promised the youths that Govt will look into the matter soon.

But before their recruitment, Tripura cabinet had decided to introduce new recruitment process with the recently announced New Recruitment Policy, cancelling all the ongoing recruitment.
