'JICA failed to develop Tripura' : BJP MLA

AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): At Japan Govt's fund even thought thousands of people were living which was especially helpful to the poor tribals, after 5 months of BJP Govt in power, one of its MLA Biplab Ghosh has claimed, JICA failed to profit Tripura.

The MLA was addressing in a minority-cell programme of the party at Udaipur Maharani on Sunday when he said so.

He further blamed previous CPI-M Govt saying at least Rs. 14000 crores of debt was kept for the new govt by the previous govt. 

"Our Govt is very new, but still it has taken many decision which the previous govt failed to take. Now farmers don't have to go anywhere, rather officials are going towards farmers. To help the farmers various "Farmers Help Centres" are being opened, which the previous govt could not do", he said.

On April 19, JICA Project Director & CEO G.S.Raju issued the termination of the all contractual JICA officers, Livelihood Co-ordinators, Field Felicitators, outsourced personnel from immediate effect from itself, who were actually appointed by former State Govt under the foreign company. 

At the same time, over 36,000 people who were beneficiary from the project, the whole system has been stopped.
