AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Increasing crimes in Tripura capital and rest of State in last 5 months indicate massive deterioration under Home Minister cum CM Biplab Deb. Amid claims about Rule-of-Law in Triupura, police yet to get success with sensational Laxmi Narayan Bari loot case. After such a heinous crime happened on the heart of Agartala City, for not a single time, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has visited Laxmi Narayan Bari, even though he is also holding the Home Ministry. However, SP West District Ajit Pratap Singh said that police will surely find out the culprits behind the crime and fingerprint experts have taken notes after the incident and police’s intelligence is working to find out the culprit. SP West also said that no Gold ornament was theft as those items were found in a drain following the incident but the flute of Krishna(Narayan) and some silver items have been taken away. Surprisingly, the Chief Minister has not made any visit in the temple even after 5 days of the incident. The incident took place on Wednesday night.
It was said that along with Laxmi Narayan Bari, another local’s home was looted but till now, so far no success was gained by Police.
Due to lack of enough CCTV cameras crimes are increasing. Modernization of police was claimed by Chief Minister Biplab Deb and said, for modernizing policing there will be no lack of fund, but city is yet to installed with CCTV cameras.
Earlier Agartala had CCTV cameras, but 40 of them left damaged since years under the previous Govt but now thieves can be caught if a private institution of house’s CCTV can help.
Tripura’s golden history’s part, age old temple Laxmi Narayan Bari was looted on Wednesday night. All gold made items were taken away by looters on in the midnight. Getting informed, police rushed to the spot in the morning and are checking everything.
Goldenjewelleries were recovered in front of the Town Hall lined Income Tax Office road’s drain, but the major parts of the items have been stolen.
Laxmi Narayan Bari temple dedicated to the Hindu God Narayan located in the Ujjayanta Palace ground in the city of Agartala state. The temple was constructed by the King of Tripura, Birendra Kishore Manikya.
