AGARTALA, September 14 (TIWN): ‘Tripura Karmachari Samannay Committee’ (Tripura Government Employees Coordination Committee) today staged a sit in demonstration here near Durgabari temple. Comprising Anganwadi workers, Helpers, Home Guards, Pensioners and construction workers the coordination committee had 10 charter points of demands.

Releasing further 43 % DA and Grade Pay, hiking the monthly allowance of Anganwadi workers and Home guards upto 10,000, providing LTC and medical reimbursement facilities to the pensioners,  granting pensionary benefits to the employees of  TRTC and PSU employees and stopping recruitment in fixed pay were some of the major demands of the committee. Senior leader of the committee former MP Ajoy Biswas was present in the demonstration along with other representatives and employees of the Coordination committee.
