AGARTALA, September 13 (TIWN): With an attempt to hold party's supremacy over Secrets with Govt Files and Transactions, CPI(M) led Left Front Govt is initiating proccedings to keep the Secretariat staffs out of Cadre Service, said a top level official of Govt of Tripura. Already efforts are on to make a committee that will deal with all recruitments in future as far as Secretariat Service is concerned. The official remarked," This is sheer attempt on the part of the Melarmath to ensure that all staffs to be recruited in future are from Left parties wings."

At present all employees under Tripura Secretariat Service (TSS)  are recruited through competitive examinations conducted by Tripura Public Service Commission. But from now onwards Melarmath bosses are learnt to have decided to recruit employees under Tripura Secretariat Service through a special committee and thus TSS staffs will be out of Cadre Service as Cadre Service employees need to be recruited by Public Service Commission.

     A top level state govt official told TIWN on Friday night, " Generally TSS staffs are recruited as Lower Division Assistant Cum Typist(LDACT) and from there are promoted to the spots of Assistant, Head Assistant, Office Superintendent, Section Officer, Under Secretary and Deputy Secretary. If service length remains, an LDACT is promoted to the post of Joint Secretary over years of services. But when the recruitment will be done through a committee, it is certain that transparency will not be there. " Through the Country’s Secretariat Service staffs are given higher pay scale but when Left Front took the power in the State, State Govt removed the higher pay scale and imposed normal pay scale. And now the recent initiatives will again deprive the staffs from the promotion as the entire process will be finalized once it gets cleared from Melarmath.

       According to TIWN sources, already file for the formation the Selection Committee has been made and very soon it will be sent to Cabinet's approval. Once it gets approved, the Tripura Secretariat Service (TSS) will be under the grip of Melarmath.
