AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Tuesday while addressing on the occasion of Children Film Festival at Nazrul Kalakshetra said, the scope for children’s entertainment is very less in Indian film world.
Addressing at Nazrul Kalakshetra, Ratan Lal Nath said, “Even though India produces highest numbers of films but for children hardly films are made”.
“Around 1600-1700 films India produces and launches each year, but due to business purpose there are hardly any scope for children’s theme in Indian films”, Nath added.
“But there were artists as Satyjit Roy, who understood the sentiment of children and such kinds of film productions are much more necessary for children’s overall growth. Due to race-era Children left hardly any scope for entertainment and also they become tired with the load of race”, he added further appreciating the attempt of ICAT Dept for launching this festival.
