AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): One person was arrested and against total 9 persons chargesheets have been submitted in court in connection with Lenin’s statue demolition, in Assembly data CM Biplab Deb said.

The driver of the bulldozer along with 9 more are under police’s rudder.

The statue of Lenin was bulldozed on March 5 after BJP won the election by mob. The mob wearing BJP's attires was screaming "Bharat Mata Ki Jay" while pulling down the statue of Lenin. 

A video also became viral where it shows the statue, located in the College Square of the town, being teared down by people wearing ‘Chalo Paltai’ T-shirts and chanting “Bharat mata ki jai.”
