AMARPUR / AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Total 50 teachers were served with show-cause notices in Amarpur subdivision of Gomati District in Tripura on Wednesday.

Education Dept and Gomati District administration officials jointly visited 75 schools in Amarpur today. Total 27 numbers of visitors were present during the operation.

In many cases, teachers were found in leave without permission. In the internal issues as mid-day-meal also heavy irregularities were spotted in few schools. 

One Proxy teacher was found working in a school. Against the proxy teacher and the actual teacher FIRs have been lodged.

Education Director Uttam Kumar Chakma and other high Govt officials were present during the visit.

In coming days also such surprise visits will be done.
