UDAIPUR (Tripura) June 17 (TIWN): Udaipur Press Club, under Gomati District in Tripura has marched a silent rally condemning the killing of ‘‘Rising Kashmir’’ Editor Shujaat Bukhari.
‘Rising Kashmir’ Editor Shujaat Bukhari shot dead In Srinagar on June 15.
Senior journalist Sujata Bukhari was shot dead by unknown attackers in Srinagar on Thursday evening.
He was attacked when he was stepping out of his office in Press Colony. He was hit by multiple bullet shots at a close range.
Slain Kashmir journalist Shujaat Bukhari was likely killed as a result of the anger of anti-talks faction of the Hurriyat and ISI over his advocacy of engagement and refusal to share their strong opposition of the "Ramzan ceasefire" initiative, national media reported.
In Tripura last year, ahead of Assembly Election 2 journalists Santanu Bhaumik and Sudip Datta Bhaumik were killed.
