AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan ahead of Police Mobile Van’s flagging off programme at Police Headquarter said, “In a new way state police is working now and to modernize the policing, to make the police service affective and efficient advanced technologies are necessary. This mobile van mechanism which is to be launched is very important part for the fulfilling the necessities of an advanced policing system. After the launching of new mobile van service, the response time of police will be reduced surelyâ€. Chief Secretary also said, GPS, Google maps all will be used properly as a part of that advanced technology.CS also assured to manage the funds and fulfilling all necessities needed for modern policing so that police can go ahead to secure the public with full efficiency.“Through quick responses, we will be able to fulfill the expectation of peopleâ€, Chief Secretary added.
Sanjeev Ranjan also mentioned, Tripura already having a crime branch and Chief Minister’s dream for a Crime Free State, Addiction-free State, such advance technologies are very important.
DGP A K Sukla mentioned, through GPS system control rooms will get live updates of the vehicles movements.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, “Digitalization is a form of development and without Digitalization a transparent govt is never possible. Till day by dialing number 100 it was tough to get police’s immediate help. Since last 30 years, the 100 number was just as myth as actions were hardly taken”.
