AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): Amid flood led damages in various parts of Tripura, state is observing Eid, prayers have been offered to almightily by Muslim community.
Prayers were offered across mosques, but Muslim dominated few areas as Kailashahar like subdivisions are sufferings majorly due to flood.
Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
Eid is marked with a special set of prayers on the first morning of the festival, followed by the first daylight meal in a month, usually shared with friends and family. Many return to their family homes to celebrate.
A vast array of sweet dishes and treats are prepared and consumed.
Eid in Tripura has been observed peacefully without any untoward incident reported anywhere.
