UDAIPUR, September 8 (TIWN): Under severe criticism from from all corners regarding the shifting of Gomati District Hospital to Tepania from Tripura Sundari Hospital , Chief Medical Officer Dr Nirumohan Jamatia is learnt to be feeling guilty for not being able to do anything due to the one sided and simply dictatorial attitude of Medical Super Dr Debasish Roy. CMO is so much insulted and humiliated at this that he even threatens to quit his job. It is to be mentioned that District Hospital was shifted to Tepania as per State govt decision. But on 3rd September all on a sudden 151 patients had been discharged from Tripura Sundari Hospital under MS Dr Debasish Roy's instruction.

This certainly is mysterious. The matter has been out to Chief Minister as well.

On 6th September Health Secretary M Nagaraju visited both Tripura Sundari Hospital and Gomati District Hospital to have a close look on the on going situation. During his visit Secretary directly rebuked MS Dr Debasish Roy for his hasty and dictatorial attitude. During this time CMO Gomati informed that MS did not even ask him or take permission before shifting the decision. A TIWN source in District Hospital told TIWN on Monday morning," CMO categorically told M Nagaraju that he was targeted by the people from all corners but he is not at all involved in this case. Moreover , CMO complained denying him MS simply takes decision on everything and in this condition it utter humiliation for him to continue his service." The source said that even some people who were standing in the Tripura Sundari Hospital during the Secretary's visit saw the CMO telling, " I am not going to tolerate such insult and I am going to quit my job as I prefer to stay in my home than to be insulted by MS, a subordinate employee"

However, the Secretary M Nagaraju took control over the situation before going worst saying the CMO, "This purely an official matter and please don't discuss this in public and in front of media." Later on Chief Minister too came out strongly against the sudden discharge of 151 patients in a single day when the matter was raised by MLA Pranajit Singha Roy during the inaugural programme of multicultural complex in Udaipur. Chief Minister said publicly ," I am shocked that 151 patients were discharged! Neither state govt nor Health Ministry has taken any such decision. The blame must go to the health officials of Gomati district." However, he assured that Tripura Sundari Hospital will continue to run as Sub Divisional Hospital with all facilities as per its parameter
