AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): Congress Party not without reason already decimated in Tripura as Party leaders sole goal is badmouthing rather than any work. Amid State Govt’s full attempt in rescue operations with the help central forces, Tripura Congress has slammed the BJP led State Govt alleging the Govt has been failed to control the situation. Addressing a press meet at Agartala Congress Bhawan, Congress leader Gopal Roy said, “The whole state is suffering from deadly flood, but administration’s role is zero. At Unakoti District above 50,000 people are still in danger zone but the Govt’s role is empty to rescue operation”. Criticizing the relief camps condition, Gopal Roy said, “Over 10000 people are homeless but the no proper drinking water arrangement even have been done for them in the relief camps. Govt must take the issues seriously. People are dying, flood has affected lakhs of people across the state, but the role of govt has remained just for name shake”.The Congress leader also criticized the BJP Govt alleging BJP and CPI-M have secret alliances. Also Gopal Roy mentioned that the attack upon Ex-CM Manik Sarkar is a plan of CPI-M and BJP both.

On the other side, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has been visiting various relief camps in flood affected Unakoti District as a part of assuring support to the victims.

CM has ordered officials to stay active and to assure confirm assistance to the flood affected people residing each corner of the Unakori District. CM said, his Kailashahar relief camp visit is to ensure that proper facilities are being provided to citizens.

“I asked the officials to make sure that timely assistance reaches all the locations across the state”, CM said in a tweet.

However, Congress has alleged the ground reality is something else and people are suffering due to lack of proper arrangements in relief camps.

After state govt sent report to the Centre, Tripura is directly getting Central Govt’s help with huge numbers of NDRF have been deployed in state.

Right now, the situation is still under alert and all Districts except Sepahijala have been affected due to flood more or less.
