AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): Flood, water-logging have paralyzed capital city Agartala leading mass sufferings for citizens here.
Businessmen are facing heavy losses as water-loggings have abandoned the customers. Roadside hawkers are the most sufferers.
Since 2 days, the vendors and poor sellers have been heavily affected in flood.
Skyrocketing prices have been reported in vegetable market and also the Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has confirmed ‘heavy losses’ in Agriculture, which are yet to be measured.
In Agartala City almost all the roads have been blocked in water-logging including Orient Chowmuhani, Bidur Karta area, Banamlipur.
Howrah river water has been downed and till the 9 am report, even though most flood alerted Baldakhal, Srilanka Basti areas are yet safe.
CM to make visits in deep affected areas via chopper and huge numbers of Armies, BSFJawan have been deployed in flood affected areas along with NDRF.
