Kamalghat, June 12 (TIWN): The Faculty of Management Studies of ICFAI University Tripura organized an International Seminar last week involving participants from different States and abroad. While Prof. Mohammed Ashanullah, an eminent educationist from Comilla University, made it to Kamalghat Campus, some researchers took part in the seminar from Fiji and Ethiopia through Skype presentation. Other participants came from Rajasthan, Hyderabad, Bihar, Assam, Punjab and Mizoram.

Altogether 40 research paper presenters, business personalities, entrepreneurs and academicians took part in the two-day seminar titled “Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development–-Growth, Prospects & Challenges in Globalization Era”, which was graced among others by Prof. Mohammed Ashanullah, Mr. Sunil Kumar, General Manager, NABARD, Dr. Debarshi Mukherjee from Tripura University and Dr. Anirban Dutta from NIT-Agartala.

There was a business plan competition among the start up businessmen and entrepreneurs in this seminar where new buds with entrepreneurship skills and knowledge expressed their dexterity in today’s business. Some other participants submitted research papers emphasizing entrepreneurship development in tourism, medical and green revolution sectors. Mr. U. K. Sarkar, who graced the seminar from Skill Development department, lauded the quality of research papers presented in the seminar.

While speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the seminar on June 7, the Registrar of ICFAI University Tripura Dr. Avula Ranganath encouraged entrepreneurs for sharing their experience, difficulties and challenges in globalised era. He reiterated that this university would be the front runner in inculcating professional skills with academic excellence.

In their brief address, Prof. Mohammed Ashanullah and Mr. Sunil Kumar appreciated the initiatives of ICFAI University Tripura in organizing international seminar on very important contemporary international topic. Token memento and certificate of excellence were handed over to presenters of best business plan and research papers.
