AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): CPI-M MP Jitendra Choudhury along with other Ganamukti Parishad members have met Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Saturday, placed a deputation explaining him about the ongoing crisis situations on hilly areas of the state.
Due to MGNREGA works were stopped in state, people in deep rural and ADC areas in Dhalai Dist are bound to migrate at Bangladesh in search of livelihood.
Even though BJP Govt denied the allegations that people leaving state for Bangladesh, but from border guards to locals have accepted the fact.
Reacting over the dry situation on hills, MP Jitendra Choudhury has met Chief Minister today.
Recently Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma said, there is no food crisis on hills and BJP Govt has given over 10 lakhs mandays, but if 10 lakhs mandays are given then also 1.5 days of MGNREGA works a person got in reality.
Meeting the poor tribals across the ADC areas especially at Dhalai Dist, Jiten Choudhury has met CM, demanding govt's immediate action to save those poor families.
