AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Union Minister Social Justice & Empowerment Thaawarchand Gelhot has arrived here in Tripura to attend certain programmes.

A mega Distribution camp "Samajik Adhikarita Sivir" was conducted with his arrival at free of cost distribution of aids and assistive devices for Divyangjan under ADIP scheme, Govt of India.

The programme was organized at Rabindra Bhawan in the presence of Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma.

During the event 2012 numbers of Divyangjan of different categories was provided with differnet types of aids and assistive devices at the value of Rs. 138.28 lakhs under ADIP scheme of Govt of India.
