AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Queen Pineapple has been announced today as the state fruit of Northeast state Tripura by President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
President announced this when he was addressing at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala during ‘State Reception’ programme.
While announcing ‘Queen Pineapples’ as state fruit, President Kovind said, I am very happy announcing that Queen Pineapple will be considered as Tripura state fruit from now.
“Queen pineapples should make huge business and also known by the whole world. It really a proud moment when queen pineapples are being exported in other countries”, said Kovind.
“I am hopeful, soon pineapples will reach in other countries including Bangladesh. In the same manner, Govt should boost rubber plantation and bamboo cultivation”, he added.
