Tripura Govt WARNS legal action against 'Plastic-Flour', 'Rubber-Salt' propagators

AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Tripura Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Dr Debasish Basu has given a strict warning against the propaganda about rubber and plastic mixed flour and salt. The Director said that protein item gluten are mixed with flour which makes the food item healthy. Basu also said that the rubber mixed salt propaganda is also a lie as Tripura Govt buys those items from a very reliable company which are distributed in various Anganwadi centers and schools for mid-day-meal. He also said, to marginalize the business of the ration shops, such propaganda are spreading by shop-keepers to rise their business. A strict warming has been imposed on such rumours via social media.

Amid the ongoing rumours and allegations about plastic mixed wheat spread in state markets, 27 more fell sick today at Kamalasagar on June 2nd.

Recently after plastic mixed wheat illed tea garden workers, whispering started about poisonous salt was found in Udaipur Subdivision, under Gomati District after Khilpara residents bought salts from a local ration shop.

Locals alleged that bad smells were also coming out of that salt and when checked everyone’s stored salts (brought from ration shop) at home were found poisonous.Bubbles were forming heavily when that salts were mixed with water.

Local subdivisional authority rushed to the spot and inspected the matter. They villagers were asked to return the salt at ration shop.

But Food Dept Director Debasish Basu has broken the rumour giving strict warning, to the rumours propagators.
