AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has inaugurate a Nature Park named after martyr Albert Ekka on World Environment Day at Lichu Bagan in Agartala.
CM unveiled the park after Albert Ekka's name AT 10.30 am, in the presence of MLA Dilip Das, AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha at Lichubagan.
Lance Naik Albert Ekka, PVC was a soldier in the Indian Army. He was killed in action in the battle of Hilli, during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
Total 2 hectors of lands have been brought under the park. Total 2 hectors of lands have been brought under the park, with Rs.1.2 crores have utilized for the park.
This park has been inaugurated on the occasion of World Environment Day.
World Environment Day occurs on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
