AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): West Agartala Police today as a drive against anti-social elements, arrested 8 gamblers from Battala.

Addressing media, West Agartala Police station OC-Subrata Chakraborty said, via secret sources police had been informed that beside Battala road a group of gamblers had sat on business and accordingly police raided that spot and caught 8 gamblers red-handed.

Total 3230 rupees, calculators and other gambling related items were seized.

The police official also asked public to inform police if they spot any similar anti-social work going on around, giving further warning to gamblers not to sit with such activities on road-side atleast.
