AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): Observing the recently held country-wide by-election results Tripura Congress leader Gopal Roy said, "The result of by-elections were beyond imagination. Congress was expected to score well but that much of excellent scoring was not expected". The Congress leader also claimed that people are fed up of the Modi Govt's jumla-raj. In this condition the Modi Govt will lose the 2019 election, nodoubt on that". "In the whole country, a Jumla-Raj is going on. Whatever they had promised, couldn't fulfilled in last four years. Fuel prices are on hike and also recently the cooking gas prices were spiked up. In our time the subsidy was 417 which is now Rs. 493. Recently 48 rupees have been increased by the Modi Govt on cooking gas".The Congress leader also asked the BJP led state govt in Tripura to control the fuel price as fast as possible.

"The farmers conditions are also same. The dejected farmers were resigning to their fate, fleeing farms and aspiring for other jobs because the BJP had completely failed them", added Gopal Roy.

"They are forced to throw their products on the streets or distribute it for free as they are not getting fair prices for it”, Roy told media.

“The Modi govt is also attacking the govt employees funds. In case of Tripura the villages conditions are pathetic. Instead of giving Rs. 340 per MGNREGA work, the Govt is not even giving Rs. 160 per MGNREGA and people are bound to leave state in search of work at Bangladesh”, Gopal Roy added.

Gopal Roy also condemned the job fair blunder held under the BJP Govt with South Indian Textile companies.

The Congress also stressed upon the Plastic-mixed wheat issue and pathetic health service of the state hospitals.
