AGARTALA, May 22 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Datta on Tuesday has accused the Modi Govt for not fulfilling its promises, which they made ahead of the last Lok Sabha election in 2014.

"Earlier, people who became frustrated of the Congress ruling at Centre had voted for BJP. They thought the economic crisis situation will be ended once BJP comes in power at Centre", the MP said.

"But we are now observing, instead of decreasing, such problems have increased under the BJP Govt", Datta said.

"Today the people who criticized the previous Congress Govt for various reasons, after coming in power they are now doing the same", the MP said.

"The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi during Congress ruling at Centre demanded a policy for fuel price control, but today under his Prime Ministry the fuel prices are sky rocketing everyday", the MP said.

CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar hit the Modi Govt on unemployment rate asking, "Where are 2 crore of jobs per year, which BJP promised back in 2014 ?"
