Kamalpur, May 20 (TIWN): As police got strict enough against illegal liquor vending and selling at Kamalpur, liquors of more than 25000 rupees were seized in two separate raids.

According to the information provided by the police, last night SI Samaresh Das along with a huge contingent of police, raided in the shop of Bidhan Das near the TSR camp at East Lambucharra and seized 224 bottles of different categories of liquor of about 15,000 rupees in total. This morning SI Samaresh Das again raided at Halhali market area. There from the shop of Madhab Some seized foreign liquor of 10,000 rupees approximately.  Though police could not nab any one from Bidhan or Madhab. However, SI Samaresh Das informed that, such raids would continue. 

People expressed happiness over the action of police.
