Navy Chief visits Tripura Museum

AGARTALA, May 16 (TIWN): Admiral Sunil Lanba ,PVSM,AVSM, Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of Naval Staff has visited Tripura Museum at the Ujjayanta Palace.
Lanba had arrived here in Tripura on yesterday on two days visit. However, the Navy Chief denied to address media.
Admiral Lanba is the 23rd Chief of Naval Staff. An alumnus of National Defence Academy, he is a Navigation and Direction Specialist. The Admiral is being accompanied by his wife Mrs Reena Lanba.
Lt Gen Gopal R, AVSM,SM GOC 3 Corps and Maj Gen Upendra Dwivedi, IGAR(E) are also visiting alongwith the Naval Chief.
His visit to the state is strategically important as this is the first time an Indian Navy Chief is visiting the state.
