AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): BJP Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma on Friday has slammed the previous CPI-M Govt for generating thousands of problems and doing various fake promises ahead of election, terming the Era led by CPI-M as an ‘Era of Depression’.
The Deputy Chief Minister was addressing at Tripura Tribal employees Association's Golden Jubilee celebration in Agartala Town Hall.
Addressing the tribal employees, Debbarma said, “It has been the attitude of the CPI-M that before 6 months of the election, they would go to the people and make tall promises. It was indeed a sad history !”
“I am thankful to the Almighty that this era of depression, the insults and degradation have ended”, he said.
“It’s today a recognized fact and accepted all over India that the present govt is working seriously for the indigenous people, whether the other (CPI-M) was the opposite. Our Govt indeed a blessed govt, blessed by the people of Tripura”, Jishnu Debbarma said.
“Now, it’s our time to work. We have changed the History and the CPI-M which was earlier getting 18-19 MLAs from our people, today has been landed up with only 2”, he added.
