AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M MP Jitendra Chowdhury has termed the trend of the newly elected BJP-IPFT Govt as ‘fascist’.
“This is not the correct time to evaluate a govt within two months of its ruling, but the trend which has been displaying since the beginning it has been fascist”, the MP said referring Khowai incident and some recent disturbances among the political parties.
“Not only at Khowai, but the BJP had attacked the South Tripura Satchand block's Panchayat office in the same manner. Some BJP youths had directly entered the Panchayat office and asked what type of meeting it was. The youths further asked, why there is no BJP MLA and also warned them to resign”, Chowdhury said.
“Such incidents indicate that from top level of BJP, the direction was given to curb the democratic rights of people and the opposition in any mean”, Jitenra Chowdhury said.
“Another side of the party is that it has no control over the party activists and Chailenta’s incident led by IPFT is another example of it”, he said.
