AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): Tripura’s Ex-Chief Minister Manik Sarkar following the party offices demolition rows, has visited Agartala Motor stand today and said, whatever has been done it was totally unnecessary.
“They could discuss with parties before they bulldozed the offices, which were used by unions and poor workers. It’s not good for a democratic country where nobody can protest, nobody can raise voice”, Sarkar added.
“Using of Govt lands for poor people’s work or organization it’s very common. Govt gives lands to such organization. It’s not correct attitude the govt is now showing”, said Manik sarkar.
Manik Sarkar further said, “Whatever they have done it’s not right. It was totally unnecessary. They could discuss with people and the political parties before demolition. The union offices were also resting sheds for the workers”.
Along with Manik Sarkar, MP Shankar Prasad Datta, Ex-Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty were present during the visit.
