AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): Above 72 hours have been passed, that the people here are suffering majorly due to acute petrol crisis and at the same time with cash-less dry ATMs. Since the morning almost all the petrol pumps across the subdivisions left with ‘No Petrol’ signs and the same situation is holding since 3 days in the state. At the same time, people are unable to transact any cash as ATMs are also left dry with a total ‘cashless’ situation. Amid Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s claim about ‘no petrol, diesel shortage will be felt in Tripura after the inauguration of petrol tank wagons, the crisis has been continued to here and there, fueled by the allegation of black marketing of petrol. When up to Dharmanagar, petrol are importing allegation about black-marketing of petrol gets a strong base. Since 3 days almost all the petrol pumps left dry and hanged with ‘No Petrol’ sign following one day holiday on 1st May at Agartala,Resentments have brewed among the customers standing in front of the biggest petrol pump of the city at Ganaraj Chowmuhani.

That’s how the waste of common people’s valuable time is under continuation.

On March 29, on the occasion of fuel-carrying cargo’s inauguration at Dharmanagar Rail Station Biplab Deb said, "People in Tripura have suffered a lot due to petrol crisis. Public here are habituated by standing in long queues before petrol pumps. In past days we have experienced what's called acute petrol crisis, but I am inaugurating the Petrol Tank Wagon at Dharmanagar today, which will end the petrol crisis as well as stop the black marketing of fuel".

Bank-note scarcity has gripped indeed  whole Tripura and the public were seen roaming from one ATM to another for cash on Friday morning but all of the ATMs were left empty.

But no appropriate cause behind the crisis were shown by the banks as well as petrol pump owners but public are suffering without knowing any cause behind the ‘suffering’.
