AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s poor general knowledge everyday becoming laughing stocks & ‘masala’ for gossip nationwide. Earlier, Biplab Deb claimed Amazon river is located in Africa but now he has shocked even the school children saying ‘Feni river bridge is located on river Gomati’ where he visited on yesterday. The person who was visiting at the Feni river bank to check the construction of the Maitri Bridge there, how he could claim it’s located on the Gomati river bank , it has triggered question. Public are slamming the Chief Minister, embarrassed by his poor knowledge asking whether has he gathered that knowledge from Mahabharata’s Sanjaya. TIWN followers are also calling him the most dumbest expressing surprise, how such a fool person can exist in world.Few are saying , 'Our epic CM'.

Chief Minister was visiting the Feni river bank, where the Modi Govt had started a bridge construction to boost the Indo-Bangla ties via South Tripura. 

Hence, Tripura’s new Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s entry into State Administration began with series of gaffes with no immediate cure in sight. On April 14, 2018 at Agartala ONGC complex Ambedkar Statue inauguration, CM claimed Chabimura can be made better than Amazon river basin, also Amazon is located in Africa. Chief Minister Biplab Deb already exposed his poor knowledge on World geograpghy by comparing might Amazon basin with Tripura's Tiny Chabimura. That too Amazon is located in South America but CM claimed its in Africa.

About the Matri River Birdge : Maitri Bridge over Feni river comes under PM Modi’s Act-East-Policy. Construction of bridge over river Feni is being taken up by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. This issue of coordination with Bangladesh for the construction of the bridge was raised in the 10th meeting of the Joint Working Group on Trade with Bangladesh, which was held on 8th-9th June 2016 at New Delhi. The Bangladesh side was requested to undertake construction of corresponding road link in its territory up to the India- Bangladesh border. The issue is being followed up with the Bangladesh side.
