AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): Miss Asia Pacific 2000, Indian beauty queen model, actress, producer Dia Mirza replying media queries how does she see Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s remark about Diana Hayden and his allegation of beauty pageants are run by international mafia gangs, she replied, “What can one say of a man who claims Internet existed in ancient India? He seems to have a resource of information that the rest of us are not privy toâ€. Actress-activist Dia Mirza, the UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for India, flew to San Francisco earlier this week to participate in an all-women's panel discussion on the environment at the Steve Jobs Theatre on April 28, where she made the remark. Dia who was formerly a beauty pageant winner, is distressed by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb's comments on beauty queens.
Diana on the next day of the comment of Tripura CM about her had left a message for Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb alerting him to 'Think before uttering'.
"Think and prepare yourself before you talk to the public. When you are leader, you should be careful what you are speaking. Your words bring impact in a larger scale inside the society”, she said.
“Our skin colours are loved across the globe. I am hurt because I myself is engaged in various talks, lectures and grooming children with confidence with their skin colour”, Diana said.
