AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): Kicking off another fresh controversy, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb claimed that Engineers and Doctors can function in better ways than Arts background students in civil services.

“Earlier only Arts students joined civil service but now engineers and doctors are also joining in civil services which is undoubtedly helping the administration in various means”

“The interest among engineers, doctors in civil services is actually helping the society as a single person is working with 3 skills”, CM said.

CM was addressing in a press conference at CM’s quarter on Sunday afternoon and was asked by media to clarify his remark on, ‘Civil engineers should join civil services more rather than mechanical engineers’.

Replying media queries the BJP Chief Minister said that for a better administration, the engineers especially from civil services are more welcome than Arts backgrounds.
