AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): With a move against multi-crores chit fund scams which looted public money for years from the tiny state Tripura under the CPI-M Govt, the BJP led state govt finally handed-over all the cases to CBI.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb addressing a press conference in his official residence on Sunday announced that total 74 chit fund cases have already handed-over to CBI.
“Newly charge-taken Tripura Govt since the beginning was heading with an anti-corruption move. These chit fund companies had looted poor people’s money and the previous govt’s undoubtedly either directly or indirectly was linked with the scams, which is known by everyone”, CM said.
“Among the 74 cases, 11 cases including Rose Valley chit fund scam were handed over to CBI long back and now rest of the cases have also been given to CBI for proper investigation”, CM said.
