Why does Govt compromise with Teachers-Recruitment only ? Not for Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers recruitment ?

AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): Quality Education will never come if the govt always push unprofessional people in Teaching jobs. On the occasion of Civil Service Day celebration state-wide, questions raising, why in case of teachers recruitment the Govts go for relaxation ? The appointment of teachers without professional degree means the country yet to value the teaching profession and anybody can teach the students without skills, whereas in other professions it’s not possible.

In reality how much hard the months of Practice teaching are, it’s only known by the B.Ed qualified students. A plain degree holder can now way link with the teaching profession. A person needs to complete LLB, LLM as only plain graduations can’t make lawyers. In other professions also the same rule is applicabel, but in case of teaching profession only, the "skills" are seen as "jokes".

There are UPSC, TPSC, Banking and other depts. where a candidate can appeal for their jobs, if they want to join govt jobs. But why they want to become teachers ??

When it’s about teaching qualification, the compromise comes. This is not new, but since decades from CPI-M to Congress era house to house jobs were distributed with political colours without quality in this particular field.

Today under the BJP Govt, even though TET exam are being held but without professional qualification. Not only this, what will be there percentage-demand from a candidate to sit in TET it has also not been known.

With all these, the compromise with quality education has been continuing, which is too unfortunate after the Congress and BJP were lecturing on quality education since 10323 teachers job appointments as opposition parties.

Tripura Govt could appoint contractual teachers instead of regular teachers without professional qualifications and open huge numbers of B.Ed colleges immediately, as M.Ed qualified many youths are working in schools due to lack of enough B.Ed colleges and Asst Professor vacancies.

After two years the contractual employees can sit in TET by completing B.Ed either in distance mode or those who are unemployed they could do in regular basis.

Question raises, Why without professional qualification Doctors, Engineers are not appointed ?

Under the 25 years of CPI-M regime, the govt only created 2 B.Ed colleges in whole Tripura and before 2010 the Colleges were booked for the employees only, not fresher.

However, following such negligence and corrupt system, in 2018 election there was a mass rejection of the CPI-M in Tripura and people had chosen BJP to run the administration. But giving a shock, the BJP, till day which was opposing even 6 month’s or 1 year B.Ed and the same BJP Govt at Centre which always denied for any relaxation for Tripura for the sake of quality-education has supported the present state govt for relaxation. In this condition, questions are raising why the govt is not taking initiative to take more numbers of fresher in the B.Ed colleges ?
