AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): Sepahijala’s various parts are reeling under power-cut since around 9 days. But asking the local MLA Bhanulal Saha, he said, “Nothing is now in our hands. Indeed, we are unable to meet the common people of our localities. BJP Govt’s era has snatched our democratic rights. We are unable to move from our own home, just because we are oppositions”. The CPI-M MLA further said, “In my area, the power has been back, which is known as Bishalgarh Office Tila, but the areas which are highest sufferers are mostly across Kamalasagar and some more places. It was BJP to promise that within 2 hours electricity will be back if power-supply fails, but they have failed to keep their promises. Moreover, the environment is not in our favour and the oppositions are undergoing various threats at the same time. As a result, I am unable to reach out the common men”, he said.

The power cut had begun at Kamalasagar and some more areas since before 9 days after the first storm but till now, it has not returned. In this situation the sufferings without power for long 9 days have gone beyond imagination.

On yesterday, throughout the day state Tripura has suffered from pathetic power connectivity and low voltage was reported in various parts of Agartala City.In the Banamalipur area, from Math Chowmuhani to various spots people passed whole day under low voltage. Many trees, houses were also damaged in the heavy wind-blow.

In many ADC and rural areas the power connectivity was fully cut  and yet to return. Not only Sepahijala across the state such situations are being faced more or less and the places which have power are suffering from frequent load-shedding. Question raises, after each rain, will the situation become same ? No electricity means No Light, No fan, No Water..nothing !
