AGARTALA, April 14 (TIWN): On the occasion of Dr. B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary, Tripura Congress President Birjit Sinha said, "Till day in our country Dalits rights are not secured, Cast system still exists in our country".

"Especially after the Modi Govt came in power such tortures against Dalits are in hike. Recently Dalits have also protested, called strike demanding their rights", Sinha said. 

Birjit Sinha was addressing at the Congress Bhawan during the observation of Ambedkar's birth anniversary. 

Tripura Congress today has celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti on Saturday at the Congress Bhawan. Congress President Birjit Sinha and other Congress leaders paid floral tribute to Dr B R Ambedkar.

Birjit Sinha also mentioned, Congress has been fighting for Dalit's rights since the beginning and will be fighting to serve the Dalits.
