AGARTALA, April 14 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb's Amazon project has come under massive controversy after he said, 'River Amazon is in Africa'.

The Amazon River, usually abbreviated to The Amazon, in South America is the largest river by discharge volume of water in the world, and either the longest or second longest.

But while addressing at Ambedkar Jayanti, Chief Minister said, "People will need not to go to Amazon of Africa anymore, once they visit Chabimura of Amarpur".

"Tripura Govt is taking care of all necessities of a tourist and we are shaping the Chabimura with that vision. Go there for a trip and if you don't love the place after the trip, I will return you trip fare", CM said.
