Agartala, Sep 2 (TIWN / IANS) The Left Front government in Tripura would make arrangements so that school students can listen to the live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to pupils on Teachers' Day, a state minister said Tuesday.

"We have technical limitations for arrangements in a large number of schools for students to hear the live address of the prime minister from New Delhi. However, we would make arrangements in 38 schools across Tripura," Education Minister (Higher and School Education) Tapan Chakraborty told IANS.

Of the 38, 30 are government-run while eight are government-aided private schools.

According to a government communication issued by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) chairman Vineet Joshi, all schools across India have been asked to make arrangements for students to view Modi's live address on television.

The CBSE has requested schools to make arrangements for the event between 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Teacher's Day (Sep 5).

The CBSE message also said the prime minister would interact with school children in person in Delhi and through satellite link at the National Informatics Centres in Leh (Ladakh), Port Blair (Andaman and Nicobar), Silchar (Assam), Imphal (Manipur), Bhuj (Gujarat), Dantewada (Chhattisgarh) and Thiruvannamalai (Tamil Nadu).
