NCTE approved B.Ed, D.Ed, M.Ed through distance education in 2013, 'But' with 'Rules'

AGARTALA, April 12 (TIWN): Even though NCTE had approved the distance mode of B.Ed, D.Ed, M.Ed but one has to follow the rules while educating teachers, otherwise their degrees will be invalid.

This a special report to aware the youths how to identify one's B.Ed degree as valid or invalid.

1. All the D.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed colleges need prior approval from National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).

2. For distance learning D.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed. also NCTE is approval

3. NCTE has restricted seat even for the distance learning D.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed.

4. Admission to D.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed. must be through an entrance exam.

5. Universities have to offer B.Ed. for in service teachers in the same state where they exist. Only central universities like MANUU and IGNOU are allowed to offer courses all over India.

6. Distance B.Ed. and full time B.Ed. are same no difference.
